DAY 3

The John's Hall Adventure Tour is a family-oriented guided excursion that showcases Jamaican culture and cuisine. Learn about the island’s history and nature while taking in some of the historic sites near Montego Bay and in the mountainous John’s Hall countryside. Have fun with the kids at a local school and visit a farm to see various animals and plants, then enjoy an authentic Jamaican lunch.

This John’s Hall Adventure tour starts at your resort, where a comfortable and air-conditioned minivan will pick you up and take you to the hills just on the outskirts of Montego Bay known as John’s Hall. Taking in fabulous views on the drive, you'll stop at the Johns Hall Basic School and have a chance to interact with the children as they warm your hearts with Jamaican folk songs and dances dating back to the island’s Arawak Indian roots.

After that interaction, it’s deeper into the countryside to learn about the island’s agriculture background. Receiving fresh coconut water to sample, you'll see the abundance of tropical vegetation and a variety of plants and flowers, and learn from your John's Hall Adventure tour about Jamaica’s herbal remedies made with the flora and fauna found in the area. You'll also see a bird-feeding sanctuary with multiple species of birds and wildlife.

After the nature walk, you'll have a chance to sample the fresh produce, spices and other local treats with a lunch consisting of traditional Jamaican fare. Shop for souvenirs and custom-made garments at a local gift stall to take home a piece of the island before your minivan brings you back to your resort.
